Philips Healthcare has received top honors from KLAS in the research firm’s 2014 Best in KLAS Awards: Medical Equipment and Infrastructure report. Philips was named the overall Best in KLAS Imaging Equipment Company, also earning distinction for three of its MR and ultrasound systems.

Winners are selected based on feedback from international healthcare professionals and represent “medical equipment that provides the broadest operational and clinical impact to healthcare organizations,” according to a statement from Philips.

The company received Best in KLAS distinctions for its Ingenia 1.5T MR (with a score of 91.1 out of 100) and Ingenia 3.0T MR (91.3 out of 100). The iE33 was also recognized in the cardiovascular ultrasound category with a score of 88.5.

“When we design or update solutions, we look beyond the technology, and focus on how innovation can help solve everyday problems, and improve lives for our most important stakeholders—patients, clinicians, and caregivers,” said Gene Saragnese, CEO of imaging systems for Philips Healthcare. “We feel these KLAS distinctions validate our mission to serve as partners to providers who, now more than ever, need innovation and insights into critical cost and care areas, including radiology, cardiology, and oncology.”
