Medrad Inc (Indianola, Pa) has designed an MR Mobile Solution accessory kit that enables its Spectris Solaris MR Injection System to be safely transported inside MR trailers. Available in early 2004, the solution adapts Spectris Solaris to the mobile environment with three features. First is a durable injector head pad that secures the injector head during transport. Second is a retractable stand clamp that secures the pedestal and folds against the wall when not in use. And third is a wall placard with concise instructions on how to use the injector mobile mount mechanism. Customers can purchase the MR Mobile Solution kit in combination with a new Spectris Solaris unit or separately. The kit is compatible with most major mobile trailer manufacturers and is configured for the latest mobile MR scanners.

Sony Medical Products (Park Ridge, NJ) recently released its FilmStation dry film imager that offers some of the top speed, image quality, and flexibility in the industry’s smallest footprint. Delivering high-resolution images in 4,096 shades of gray, the FilmStation system uses a new thermal print head and new blue thermal film specifically engineered for the system. With its compact size (25 x 10 x 27 inches), the FilmStation can stand upright directly under a desktop. Plus, two FilmStation systems can be linked together to generate as many as 130 films per hour.
