Viztek recently displayed its web-based, platform-agnostic EHR solution at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) annual conference and exhibition in Orlando, February 24-27. The system is designed to meet Meaningful Use stage 2 requirements.

The solution enables communication between practices and hospitals along with the transmission of trending data, as required for cancer diagnoses. The system can report specific case information from a certified electronic health record technology (CEHRT) to a specialized registry for the duration of the EHR reporting period. In addition, the EHR allows users to record, change, and access electronic notes in patient records; automates signature follow-up and eliminates the need for scanning, faxing, and manual delivery; and provides access to imaging results, including original images and relevant information.

“Bridging the gaps in interaction for physicians in the hospital and referrers in practices or clinics outside of hospitals and health systems is critical to optimizing the greater care cycle for patients,” said Josip Cermin, president of Viztek. “Our EHR represents our dedication to consistent, proactive innovation that will support the industry through a challenging transition to improved healthcare.”
