Since debuting in September 2009, Viztek’s Opal-CR has already proven to be a popular option with practices large and small throughout the country. The most recent five sales closed earlier this month have brought the number of units installed to 130.
Among the facilities purchasing the Opal-CR are smaller practices that are converting from film-cassette based imaging, medium practices replacing outdated CR technology, and large orthopedic practices purchasing CR in conjunction with DR to back up their main radiology rooms.
According to a company press release, the Opal-CR offers superior images at a high throughput of 56 images per hour. The affordable system also includes advanced features such as auto-stitching on the acquisition software.
