East Providence, Rhode Island – October 14, 2009 – Insight Health Solutions (IHS), a provider of risk and quality solutions for healthcare compliance management and improved patient care, today announced the appointment of James Shriver as vice president, sales and marketing.  Mr. Shriver will manage all sales and marketing responsibilities for IHS’s business development and client relationships.  His areas of specialization include executive information technology management, strategic solution development and management, business partnership development and contractual management, electronic health record management, and practice management development.

Prior to joining IHS, Mr. Shriver served as partner at global IT services company Computer Sciences Corporation and as senior vice president for Affiliated Computer Services, a premier provider of diversified business process outsourcing and IT services and solutions to commercial and government clients worldwide.  Previously, he was also client services manager of regional accounts for SIEMENS Inc., marketing consultant for healthcare software provider Medical Information Technologies Inc., and adviser to U.S. political candidates on healthcare information technology issues.  Mr. Shriver’s professional affiliations include Healthcare Financial Management Association membership and Fellow status in the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.
