At the recent Radiological Society of North America meeting in Chicago, TeraRecon highlighted the latest versions of its iNtuition visualization solution as well as its new iNteract+ interoperability capabilities. Version 4.4.12 include new features such as universal viewing and image sharing for EMR image enablement, deconstructed PACS, and advanced visualization to extend decision support tools.

According to TeraRecon, customers have been taking a “viewer-first” approach to image enablement, rather than making data aggregation their top priority. TeraRecon employs open-standard communications, allowing customers to meet these goals. Together, the iNtuition and iNteract+ solutions leverage legacy PACS systems and any vendor neutral archives.

“Our organization is in a replacement cycle and chose to pursue a deconstructed PACS due to the flexibility it provides us over time,” said Marc Wallace, MD, neuroradiologist and director of imaging informatics for Allegheny Health Network. “We have leveraged TeraRecon advanced visualization solutions across our enterprise for many years. The capabilities of iNtuition and iNteract+ working together allowed us to pursue deconstructed PACS with less risk, and equally importantly, with the best eye toward collaborative multi-specialty workflow.”
