The SDMS Foundation has introduced the Sonography Research Institute (SRI) to help train sonographers to conduct and publish original research.? The SRI has been established through a strategic partnership among sonography organizations. The “Young Sonographer Investigators” will be matched with experienced researchers. The candidates chosen for the first cohort will learn how to frame research questions, conduct original research, choose the best research tools, complete an Institutional Review Board application, and prepare research results for a peer-reviewed journal. Candidates must be SDMS members in good standing, must be certified by ARDMS or CCI, and must have obtained an Associate’s degree or higher.? All applications must be completed and received by December 31, 2012.
