High quality, digital imaging is quickly finding a home in rural centers. The most recent example comes from Georgia.

When Emory Clark-Holder Clinic, LaGrange, Ga., was looking to convert from film to digital imaging workflow, it turned to Carestream. The 28-physician group, which conducts more than 20,000 imaging exams per year, purchased a CARESTREAM DRX-1 and two CARESTREAM Elite CR systems to serve its diverse population.

Because of its flexibility, the DRX-1 will be used for a wide range of studies from general radiology to cardiology to long-length exams. The system is able to provide immediate feedback, an important part of serving patients and their physicians who may have emergent conditions.

The Elite CR systems will be split between the practice’s LaGrange facility, where it will serve two additional x-ray rooms, and the group’s affiliated primary care practice in West Point, Ga.
