Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI),New York, has signed a billing solutions agreement with Atlanta-based McKesson, Inc. McKesson’s Revenue Management Solutions (RMS) group will take over patient billing, accounts receivable management, and reporting for 160 of RPCI’s physicians.
McKesson’s solution uses internet based reporting, document imaging, and data interfacing that RPCI expects will reduce costs and increase productivity.
“To ensure we found the absolute best solution in the market, we conducted a very detailed evaluation,” said Jonathan Neumeister, Roswell Park Cancer Institute’s executive director, Revenue Cycle, said in the joint announcement.
Pat Leonard, senior vice president and general manager for McKesson’s RMS group, said that McKesson welcomed the scrutiny and meet with all levels of Roswell Park’s organization in order to fully understand RPCI’s expectations.”
