Diagnostic imaging services provider RadNet Inc., of Los Angeles, has reported an expansion of service offerings as a result of business acquisitions in Southern California.

With a mission to provide a comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating all forms of breast cancer and breast disease, RadNet’s new BreastLink division will offer bundled focused breast disease expertise, including imaging, interventional procedures, genetic counseling, medical oncology and surgery. The division will provide RadNet with four additional locations.

RadNet noted that the breast disease management system would be attractive to payors, with whom company reps plan to discuss various reimbursement options.

According to the American Cancer Society, women living in North America have the highest rate of breast cancer in the world. This year, about 182,460 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed among women in the United States.
