NovaRad, of American Fork, Utah, has scored a contract with Grisell Memorial Hospital, a critical access hospital located in Ransom, Kansas, who had been searching for an affordable solution that could be installed in less than a month. Brown’s Medical Imaging, a NovaRad distributor, facilitated the NovaPACS contract.
"Rural hospitals benefit from the Web-based PACS as interpreting physicians have the freedom to access images anytime from any location, not just at the hospital’s physical radiology department," said Paul Shumway, NovaRad vice president.
The company’s NovaPacs is a complete, turnkey PACS that features fast image retrieval, a full-feature viewer with intuitive interface, and seven-year on-site archive with off site emergency back up. To enhance efficiency, the solution offers full screen viewing, easy to use menus and mouse-based functions, providing referring physicians with complete access to images and reports from any computer.
