Belgium-based Barco has announced the release of a new high-bright LCD diagnostic display, the Nio Color 2MP LED. Designed to enable higher clinical productivity, the system includes a front sensor to provide immediate image quality checks and calibration for a range of modalities.
The LCD panel has a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels, a contrast ratio of 1400:1, and a 178° viewing angle to enable accurate readings. LED backlights enable just-noticeable differences among shades of grey, while the system is calibrated to meet DICOM luminance standards of cd/m² over its lifetime. Backlight Output Stabilization technology offers shorter power-up time and long-term brightness stability.
