Medstreaming announced the recent addition of Michael Thompson to its management team as chief operating officer. Thompson brings more than 20 years of medical executive expertise to the position. In his new role, Thompson will oversee development and execution of the corporate growth strategy, expand investor relationships and will assist with daily operations.

Prior to joining Medstreaming, Thompson was vice president of ultrasound sales and marketing for Mindray North America. At Mindray he built a direct and distribution sales channel and was responsible for numerous marketing initiatives and product introductions, all of which lead to 16 consecutive quarters of double digit revenue growth. Before this he held the position of director of business development and corporate accounts at ZONARE Medical Systems, a leading developer of ultrasound systems based on software beam formation architecture.

Medstreaming offers an “All in One” electronic medical record (EMR) and picture archiving and communications systems (PACS) for a multitude of ambulatory clinical applications such as vascular, cardiology, ob/gyn, vein, surgery, interventional radiology, orthopedics, pediatric/pediatric surgery, family care and urgent care, along with many other specialties. Its suite of products includes imaging applications, patient management, practice management with billing and scheduling, as well as consulting services.
