Siemens Medical Systems, Inc, Iselin, NJ, offers the MAGNETOM Concerto open MRI system. The Concerto utilizes a C-shaped, 0.2 Tesla permanent magnet, a phased array coil set, and syngo, a user interface shared by a number of Siemens’ imaging systems. The Concerto is also equipped with 20 mT/m gradients, enabling diffusion sequnces for stroke imaging, contrast-enhanced MRI, and FISP for lung imaging without contrast.
