First Coast Heart & Vascular Center in Jacksonville, Fla, has become the first facility in North America to install the Trinias C-12 crossover digital angiography system from Shimadzu Medical Systems USA. Spanning eight facilities across three northeast Florida counties, the medical center began operating the system in late January, after CMS Imaging of North Charleston, SC completed the installation.

Cleared by the FDA in 2014, the Trinias 12 family of systems performs both vascular and cardiac interventional procedures. The C-12 system includes seven radiation dose reduction features and Score Pro imaging technology to enhance fluoroscopic image quality and expedite exam procedures. The First Coast system is also equipped with a 58-inch Eizo 8MP display monitor and a Mennen hemodynamic system.
