Ziostation from Ziosoft

Now available for the US market, the thin-client-based Ziostation from Ziosoft, Redwood City, Calif, looks to provide users with advanced visualization and analysis tools for a range of applications. According to the company, its Ziostation is equipped with intelligent software algorithms and user interfaces that enable customers to quickly perform sophisticated image processing. These capabilities allow for confident diagnoses and faster delivery of care to patients, the company says.

The 3D imaging and diagnostic platform for general applications comes with 4D capability and an intuitive user environment supported by the automatic segmentation. Clinical indications include cardiac, colon, fusion, and perfusion, with the functionality for coronary analysis; automatic segmentation of color; combined images from CT, MR, PET, and SPECT; and quantitative analysis of blood flow based on captured images of brain and liver, among others.

The Visible Difference

With its full suite of advanced 3D analysis tools, the Ziostation is based on a revolutionary thin-client architecture that requires no proprietary or specialized hardware components. Also, it does not need a separate stand-alone workstation to supplement its functionality. Furthermore, scalability is a central offering to Ziosoft’s product structure. The company says hospitals are guaranteed long-term investment value with the interoperability of the entire product line, with technologies engineered to scale seamlessly.
