Swissray International Inc., of East Brunswick, N.J., today announced it has been awarded a three-year dual source contract to supply its digital radiography systems to members of the Adventist Health System.

Founded in 1973, the Adventist Health System supports Seventh-day Adventist healthcare organizations in the Southern and Southwestern regions of the United States. These entities provide 37 hospitals totaling more than 6,000 licensed beds, care for nearly 4 million patients each year in inpatient, outpatient and emergency room visits, and employ almost 43,000 members of their communities in full and part-time positions.

Swissray aims to provide high-quality radiographic images in seconds at a significantly lower cost and radiation dose than conventional or computed radiography. Its DR systems are equipped with fully automated, remote controlled system positioning via an Automated Positioning System (APS).
