Teleradiology services have long existed to cover critical nighttime hours. These services have proven to be as effective as the reads that can be delivered on site, increasing demand from busy radiology departments and imaging centers. And now, many are seeking daytime support as well.

Due to this growing demand Imaging On Call (IOC) will expand its teleradiology services to the daytime beginning in the second quarter. According to a company press release, the move will allow IOC to expand both its customer base and enhance scheduling flexibility.

There are several factors that have led to the need for an expansion to daytime hours, according to IOC CEO Michael Lampron. “This service offering not only provides new teleradiology solutions to hospitals, but also allows us to present our services to imaging centers that have a need not only for daytime coverage, but the growing demand for subspecialty reads as well,” he said.
