AIUM 2002 will offer a variety of educational activities — from new roundtable discussions to 40 small-group sessions to hands-on scanning — including five pre-convention programs scheduled for Sat., March 8th and Sun., March 9th. The pre-show events will provide in-depth information on ultrasound issues, such as vascular, fetal, breast and gynecological ultrasound. The AIUM Business Meeting on Sun., March 9th at 6 p.m., is open to all members and convention attendees.

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, March 10th through 12th, “Meet-the-Professor” sessions will run several times a day, along with hands-on courses and scientific sessions. Various committee meetings — such as clinical standards; membership; and the education and research fund — will gather over the course of the four-day show.

Ultrasound manufacturers will be showcasing a variety of new products on the exhibit floor, with smaller, easier-to-handle, yet more sophisticated ultrasound systems expected to take much of the spotlight.
