The American College of Cardiology (ACC) heads south this month to Orlando, Fla., from March 18 through March 21. This year, the ACC hits a milestone — its 50th annual scientific.

Program highlights include what the ACC describes as “intensive” full-day symposia on Sunday for clinical cardiologists, echocardiographers, electrophysiologists, interventionalists and nuclear cardiologists. ACC also has added more so-called controversies sessions. The organization has found that these forums for the debate of complex issues facing cardiovascular medicine have become quite popular, as healthcare providers discuss competing technologies, optimum patient diets and other topics.

On the exhibit floor, vendors will offer a host of new products and services for enhanced cardiology care.
