null Indiana University Health Goshen Hospital has installed the Vantage Titan 1.5T MR system from Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc, Tustin, Calif. Part of Indiana’s largest integrated delivery network, Goshen is utilizing the system in the hospital to support its heart and vascular center to improve patient outcomes.

“The Titan’s patient-friendly features, including its noise reduction capability, large open bore and non-contrast techniques have increased our patient satisfaction and safety,” said Melody Ernsberger, director, imaging services, IU Health Goshen Hospital. “For instance, these features have allowed us to decrease sedation and the need for contrast in certain procedures. The Titan 1.5T also fit our business needs, as the feature-rich system included everything we needed without having to pay extra for additional technologies.”

Toshiba’s Titan 1.5T MR offers numerous patient-focused features, including a 71-cm open bore designed to reduce patient anxiety related to claustrophobia. The industry-leading Pianissimo noise-reduction technology improves the MR experience by significantly reducing MR acoustic noise, while advanced non-contrast techniques makes imaging safer for patients.

“Toshiba understands the patient experience and business needs of healthcare practitioners using MR and offers a unique system design that helps make patients more comfortable,” said Guy Poloni, director, MR Business Unit, Toshiba. “Working with Toshiba also means an industry-leading customer service experience. Goshen’s MR system was up and running within a month, and its team was trained quickly and had confidence in the system from day one.”
