Certification has been a topic of discussion throughout medicine—including radiology. An American College of Radiology (ACR) Task Force on Certification in Radiology report offers suggestions to aid discussions on “continuing certification” (formerly called maintenance of certification—MOC) improvement. Read the report here.

ACR leaders say they look forward to collaborating with the American Board of Radiology (ABR) to discuss these suggestions—as related to ongoing efforts to implement American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) Vision for the Future Commission recommendations .

The ACR has been in dialogue with the ABR for some time regarding certification. This task force report is yet another opportunity for the ACR and ABR to work together to move the specialty professions (DR, IR, NM, RO, MP) forward, officials for the association say.
