The health provider selected Ascend’s ECM, SmartTouch AIRand SmartTouch AP solutions to lower operational costs, improve document visibility and control, and promote greater efficiency through workflow automation. More specifically, Kaleida Health seeks to utilize Ascend’s solutions suite to manage and route documents for approval, and eliminate paper processes through intelligent imaging, OCR and electronic storage.

After evaluating several vendors, Kaleida Health selected Ascend’s SmartTouch solutions for its advanced OCR with proprietary learning algorithms for enhanced data recognition, electronic document storage and retrieval, and automation capabilities. Kaleida Health chose Ascend’s SmartTouch AIR solution to scan paper documents and perform advanced OCR. Further, the healthcare organization selected Ascend’s SmartTouch AP solution to automatically route documents for approval, and Ascend’s ECM solution to store electronic documents of multiple file types in a centralized system.
