The Palm Medical Group, a division of Hygea Healthcare, has selected HealthFusion’s MediTouch electronic health record (EHR) software for members who need to implement or upgrade EHRs in their practice. The group represents 1,700 physicians across more than 76 specialties.

“The right EHR is vital for our physicians to successfully navigate not just Medicare programs, but the efficient daily practice of medicine, including workflow and quality of care,” said Martha Castillo, chief operating officer. “With over 26,000 users, HealthFusion provides an affordable, cloud-based electronic health record solution created by doctors, for doctors, and we believe our members will be well served by MediTouch’s ease of use, affordable cost, and excellent customer support.”

Designed as a total medical solution, MediTouch includes EHR, practice management, clearinghouse, and patient portal modules. The system is cloud-based, accommodates use with tablets, PCs, and smartphones, and was recently named a Top 3 Electronic Health Record (EHR) for Clinical Quality and Support in Medical Economics’ National Provider Survey.

“Surveys have shown that providers want fully integrated medical software they can use on a tablet and maintain patient eye contact and interaction while charting,” said Sol Lizerbram, DO, chairman of HealthFusion. “HealthFusion provides a completely integrated practice management system, clearinghouse, and patient portal with full EHR functionality on the iPad or other tablet, which makes it the total package.”
