Stamford, CT – July 29, 2009 – In conjunction with the introduction and release of the new Fuji Computed Radiography (FCR) Prima digital x-ray system, FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA, Inc. is excited to announce the launch of PrimaDreama, an online video contest. Fujifilm will give away a total of five FCR Pima systems, one to each contest winner at a chiropractic, podiatric, urgent care, family practice and veterinary facility. Complete information on the contest, which runs August 1 through November 30, 2009, can be found at www.PrimaDreama.com.

Funny and unusual incidents happen everyday to doctors, their staff, patients, and even the sales representatives that call on medical practices. Contest entrants are asked to submit a video – approximately 60 seconds long – re-enacting or retelling the funniest or most unusual event that has occurred in their office. Alternatively, participants can elect to submit a typed description of 150 words or less, along with at least one, and no more than five, digital images illustrating the funny incident.

“We’ve really enjoyed launching this contest, and hope that medical practices will have a lot of fun with this opportunity, bringing their creativity and enthusiasm to the creation of their entries,” said Eddie Massetti, Fujifilm’s Marketing Manager for Specialty Markets. “While the advantages of digital x-ray have been widely recognized for many years, the adoption of the technology still remains at less than ten percent in many private practice markets. It’s our hope that through the PrimaDreama contest and the introduction of the FCR Prima, we can bring the benefits of digital x-ray to many more private practices and their patients, making the digital ‘dreama’ a reality,” continued Massetti.

All submissions should be entered at the contest Web site, www.PrimaDreama.com, which includes the contest registration form, complete rules, and more details on the grand prize FCR Prima. A panel of judges* will review and select winners on or about December 15, 2009. In addition to awarding one FCR Prima to an office in each of the private practice markets, Fujifilm will also conduct a random drawing each month of the contest for a Fujifilm FinePix J10 digital camera.

The FCR Prima is a complete image acquisition-to-archive solution that provides private practices with the image quality they need in a compact size ideal for their office space, all delivered at an economical price point that many practices have been waiting for. The system is customized for each specialty practice to provide convenient access to the specific exams a practice relies on most. All the functionality comes in a compact size of just 23.6”W x 15.7”D x 30.7”H, making it the smallest footprint of any available competitive system. FCR Prima is currently available and orders begin shipping in August.

No purchase necessary.  Contest open to employees of chiropractors, podiatrists, veterinarians, urgent care facilities, or family practice offices who are U.S. residents, 21 or older and eligible to participate under applicable law.  Begins 12:01 A.M. ET 8/1/09, ends 11:59 P.M. 11/30/09.  Void where prohibited and otherwise subject to all applicable laws.  See www.primadreama.com for details.
