The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) and the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) announce the first three facilities to be awarded the new Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Accreditation. The accreditation indicates proficiency and competency in radiopharmaceutical therapy, an advanced technique for treating cancer that is now being used to great benefit in patients with prostate and other cancers.

The three accredited facilities are:

  • BAMF Health, of Grand Rapids, Mich.
  • Carilion Clinic Targeted Therapy Center, Roanoke, Va.
  • Stanford Health Care, Stanford, Calif.

The Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Accreditation Program was launched in June 2023. Centers who are awarded this accreditation have shown competency in radiopharmaceutical therapy, meet high standards of training and experience, have state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, and have shown consistency in providing high-quality, safe care to patients.

Facilities interested in receiving information about the new program are encouraged to visit intersocietal.org/programs/nuclear-pet to complete an interest form for the Radiopharmaceutical Therapy program.
