0691United Kingdom-based MR Solutions will be demonstrating its latest commercially available cryogen-free multi-modality preclinical MRI imaging systems at the 23rd annual meeting of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, held May 30 to June 5 in Toronto.

The preclinical range includes the cryogen-free 3T, 4.7T and 7T MRI systems.

Eliminating the need for separate systems, MR Solutions has developed multi-modality preclinical imaging systems, including PET-MRI and SPECT-MRI imaging modules. The modules, which can either be inserted or clipped-on according to system configuration, can be carried out with independent acquisition of data, or sequential acquisition, or simultaneous acquisition.

“We are always looking at ways to go one step further and have developed multi-modality technology incorporating SPECT and PET, with optical technology also due,” said David Taylor, CEO of MR Solutions. “Now that multimodality technology can be used in the same room it makes it so much easier for researchers to produce multifaceted research results.”

According to the company, multimodality imaging can speed up workflow within a laboratory, as modalities can be used at the same time. It also produces more accurate results because imaging is done at the same time
