Paying for certification examinations out of one’s own pocket can be a burden. But, because of a grant from Trajecsys Corporation, sonography students and sonographers will have this financial strain minimized.

Trajecsys, which created the online clinical management and tracking system Trajecsys Report System for students of health related educational programs, will fund the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) Foundation’s Sonography Certification Examination program through 2012.

Students and sonographers who successfully pass a certification examination will receive a grant of $250. The grant may be used for exam fees, travel to the exam site, or study materials. In addition to the grant, each recipient will receive an SDMS National Certification Examination Review Series study guide.

Applications for the 2010 grants are currently being accepted. More information about the application process and the program can be found at the SDMS website (www.sdmsfoundation.org/programs.aspx).
