Sony Electronics’ Medical Systems Division announced new support offerings for radiology monitors. In addition to Sony’s current 5-year limited warranty, the company has added the following service options under its “Hot Swap Service Program”:
5-year Optional Advanced Exchange Program (24-hour)— In the event of product malfunctions, Sony’s Advanced Exchange Program provides for a replacement monitor to be supplied within 24 hours at no cost.
5-year Optional OTS (On-Time Support) Advanced Loaner Program (48-hour) — In the event of product malfunctions, the on-time Support Advanced Loaner program provides for telephone technical support and the exchange on a temporary loan basis of a new or refurbished unit with comparable functionality to that of the malfunctioning equipment until such time as Sony returns the original unit to the customer. This is especially important for those end users that need to keep the originally purchased monitor for accounting purposes.
