Practice Fusion, an electronic health record platform, has signed its 120th revenue-generating deal with a United States imaging clinic or chain, making it the largest hub connecting imaging providers across the country. Practice Fusion’s community includes 112,000 medical professionals as well as imaging chains such as Outpatient Imaging Affiliates and Doshi Diagnostic, and imaging center divisions of hospital systems like Adventist Health System, Sutter Health Mills-Peninsula Health Services, and Crozer Keystone Health System.

“At a time when integration is a key component to successful partnerships between physicians and imaging providers, the Practice Fusion partnership was a strategic enhancement, straightforward and of great benefit to Marquis Diagnostic Imaging—referring providers and their patients,” said Michael Benson, IT/RIS/PACS director of Marquis Diagnostic Imaging.

Practice Fusion launched its Imaging API 18 months ago to help streamline electronic ordering and radiology report transmission. The company’s cloud-based model and imaging API enable rapid set-up, while a configurable ordering interface lets referring physicians view a complete list of modalities available at a particular site. The electronic order includes patient, provider, and health plan details to reduce the risk of rejected claims and non-payment. A patient portal, Patient Fusion, allows patients to view their own reports and images.
