The Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance (MITA) announced that Andrew Northup has joined the organization as its international director. In this role, he will oversee international activities and the Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Sections of MITA.

Before joining MITA, Northup was a business development associate at the British Embassy, advising senior leadership of US and UK life sciences and information/communications companies on international growth strategies. Prior to the British Embassy, Northup was a consultant for the Integration & Trade sector at the Inter-American Development Bank, where he managed participation of companies across industry sectors in negotiations with the United States and foreign governments as well as in-country and international public-private sector dialogues on Free Trade Agreement implementation and trade facilitation. Northup also previously served as a staff assistant for Rep. Leonard Boswell (D-IA) specializing in foreign affairs issues and providing counsel on trade, commerce and human rights legislation.

Northup is a graduate of Central College, where he received a Bachelor¹s Degree in political science and Spanish, and serves as the President Emeritus of Young Trade Professionals, a program of the Washington International Trade Association.
