Medical Group Management Association president and CEO William F. Jessee, MD, FACMPE, will host a Webinar event on March 26 at noon MST (2 p.m. EST) to address what MGMA describes as the “volatile environment facing medical group leaders in 2009.”
The association expects as many as 1,000 practice administrators to attend.
Scheduled topics during the 60-minute presentation will include the effect of the economic downturn and credit crunch on group practice revenue and organizational operation, highlights of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and how the legislation will affect medical practice, insight into how practices can take advantage of federal incentives for health-care information technology (HIT), new administrative simplification initiatives that can save practices money, and MGMA’s efforts to assist group practices in taking advantage of these opportunities.
The deadline for online registration for the Webinar is March 26. Telephone registration is open until 30 minutes before the session. Those interested in registering by phone should call toll-free (877) ASK-MGMA.
The event is free for MGMA members and affiliates. Nonmembers must pay a $199 registration free.
