Zotec Partners, a billing and practice management services provider, has announced that Mark Scruggs, an industry veteran with 25 years of experience in health care billing, will join its team as a partner of corporate strategy.
Scruggs is a former cofounder and partner of EmPhysis Medical Management, which Zotec acquired in 2007. After transitioning the company to Zotec, Scruggs departed in 2011 to pursue other opportunities. He returns following a period of growth for Zotec over the past few years. The company provides billing and practice management services to hospital-based physicians in the areas of radiology, anesthesiology, pathology and emergency medicine and manages over 70 million medical encounters in all 50 states.
