MedInformatix, an electronic health records (EHR) solutions provider, recently announced the launch of a new online community during the company’s client summit in New Orleans. Clients attending the summit were invited to a sneak preview of the community’s functionality and given access to the system prior to the broader rollout scheduled for later this year.

“Our clients already form a tight-knit community with us,” said Pat McGonigle, president of MedInformatix. “By offering a platform online, we essentially are formalizing what already exists and providing clients an additional channel to more efficiently communicate with us, as well as—and this is important—one another.”

MICentral, as the community is known, will provide an interactive platform for clients to learn about MedInformatix product development, technology, and customer care teams, as well as with each other. The site will be password-protected and monitored by administrators.

“By their very nature, communities bring people of shared experiences and needs together,” McGonigle said. “Similarly, many of our clients share common experiences and needs in the marketplace, and we hope that MICentral will become a useful mechanism and a go-to destination to bring our clients together to share ideas, insights and challenges—with us and with each other.”
