Chicago — The peer-nominated Larry Mauldin Award, sponsored by Beltone Electronics, honors Individuals who demonstrate dedication to excellence in education and professionalismi in the hearing industry.

Presented since 1999, this wil be the 11th year that the Mauldin Award celebrates individuals "who have demonstrated unsurpassed dedication to excellence in education and professionalism in the hearing care industry and unselfishly giving back to the profession, the community and the hearing impaired," states the Beltone press release

The award was created to honor the accomplishments of the late Larry Mauldin for his work and commitment to education in the field of audiology. Mauldin’s passion was to advance the knowledge of audiology and hearing aid fittings to as broad an audience as possible.

This year’s award will be presented at the 2011 AAA Convention, April 6-9 in Chicago.

If you’d like to participate, all nominations should be sent to Cydney Fox, AuD (Email: [email protected]) by no later than December 31st, 2010.

Nominations must include:

  • Written statement about the nominee
  • Reason audiologist should receive award
  • Number of years of professional experience
  • Contact information for yourself and the nominee
