Todd Minnigh

Todd Minnigh, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing development for Carestream, will discuss international radiology practices at two sessions during the AHRA 2014 Association for Medical Imaging Management conference in August. “Patient Care Over There: What We Can Learn from Radiology Practices Around the Globe” will take place on Monday, August 11 and Wednesday, August 13 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Md.

Minnigh’s talk will cover how international health care facilities are adapting to cost constraints while providing high-quality care and imaging services that meet diagnostic protocol. During the session, he’ll examine models such as the National Health Service hospitals in the United Kingdom, private hospitals in Chile, imaging centers in Brazil, public and private institutions in Germany and France, and facilities in Russia.

“I will describe the people, facilities, processes, and technologies used for imaging patients under very diverse conditions,” Minnigh said. “Innovative approaches are being deployed around the globe that we can use to establish best practices at US facilities. One example is how a closely timed, synchronized patient flow at an imaging center in São Paulo allowed a small facility to meet a growing demand for imaging studies.”
