Carestream Health Inc. today announced that its newest version of KODAK CARESTREAM Information Management Solutions (IMS) will be available to the world by the end of June.
The latest version of IMS allows users to view patient data and images, such as laboratory and pathology reports and video files, side by side from any location through a virtual desktop. It also incorporates standards, such as the XDS (cross enterprise document sharing) protocol in addition to existing support of HL7, to receive and store reports together with clinical patient data and other documents from clinical information systems.
System administrators can authorize either read-only or read/write privileges for physicians and staff, and access can further be limited to individual patient files or specific exam modalities.
