BridgeHead Software and Laurel Bridge have announced a partnership to assist their hospital customers with imaging needs. Laurel Bridge will begin offering BridgeHead’s vendor neutral archive (VNA) alongside its own DICOM software solutions. BridgeHead already promotes Laurel Bridge’s image routing and tag-morphing tools to ingest DICOM studies into its VNA.

This is not the first time the two companies have joined forces to work with a provider. In 2012, BridgeHead and Laurel Bridge coordinated efforts during the closing of Marian Community Hospital in Carbondale, Penn, to migrate records to a new in-state facility, Catholic Health East. BridgeHead established a VNA repository at CHE while the partners oversaw the long-term data transfer from Marian.

“Our imaging workflow and ingestion capabilities are complementary to BridgeHead’s VNA and data management,” said Mark Blair, chief executive officer of Laurel Bridge Software. “By formalizing our partnership, we make it easier for hospitals to work with both of our organizations as part of a holistic DICOM migration and VNA project.”
