April 18, 2007—AMICAS Inc, Boston, Mass, announced yesterday that it has acquired certain ownership rights to the IMAGINEradiology practice management software developed by Technology Partners Inc, Charlotte, NC. Per the agreement, AMICAS bought a copy of the software’s source code, as well as an array of transition services; the program will be developed by AMICAS under the name Vision Series Financials, and will be integrated with the AMICAS RIS/PACS to create a robust radiology automation solution.
“At the heart of every radiology practice is a world-class medical billing application,” said Stephen Kahane, MD, chairman and CEO of Amicas. “The new Vision Series Financials platform will expand on the functionality available in traditional systems with enhanced capabilities that are real game-changers for radiology practices and billing services.”
AMICAS will launch Vision Series Financials at the AMICAS National Client Conference and at the upcoming meeting of the Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) in St. Louis.
