May 10, 2007—A new collaboration announced today between Agfa Healthcare Inc, Mortsel, Belgium, and InterComponentWare AG (ICW), Walldorf, Germany, will focus on the development of seamless integration and interoperability between Agfa’s HIS and ICW’s eHealth Framework, an open platform for the development of service-oriented solutions for the health care market.
“The solutions of Agfa HealthCare and ICW supplement each other optimally,” said Philippe Houssiau, president of Agfa HealthCare. “Agfa has outstandingly positioned HIS, RIS, and PACS solutions. ICW contributes its many years of know-how in networking existing systems and its personal health record LifeSensor to the parnership.”
The agreement is an extension of an existing cooperation between the two companies on homogeneity issues in the hospital sector.
