Holding nearly 50 percent of current partnership agreements, Siemens Healthcare has assisted budget-conscious providers in meeting their imaging needs amidst an unfriendly reimbursement schedule. This year, market research firm KLAS has recognized the manufacturer for its numerous partnerships, with health executives selecting the company as their top choice for designated vendor.
According to the 2014 KLAS CxO Perceptions Report, 34 percent of survey respondents cited Siemens as their first choice for a partner across their multiple imaging modalities, including CT, MRI, interventional X-ray, and molecular imaging. Survey results also indicated that Siemens had the fewest number of dissolved partnerships with health systems. Furthermore, the company was one they are least likely to avoid, as well as offered the most innovative medical imaging technology.
Seventy-nine healthcare executives, who represent systems with an average of 2,400 beds, participated in the survey, titled “Medical Imaging 2014: Provider Executives Weigh In on Imaging Partnerships.”
“The findings of the KLAS CxO Perceptions Report underscore Siemens’ position as the partner of choice for integrated delivery networks (IDNs) and health care institutions looking to position themselves in this rapidly changing landscape,” said Gregory Sorensen, MD, president and CEO of Siemens Healthcare North America. “Our unique innovations in medical technology can help facilities deliver the right patient diagnosis more efficiently, and the flexibility and reliability of the Siemens Service organization helps ensure consistent patient care as well as the ability to adapt to changing needs.”
