Siemens Healthcare announced that the American College of Radiology (ACR) has selected the company’s syngo.via advanced visualization software for use in the ACR Education Center in Reston, Va. The ACR Education Center will mainly use syngo.via in computed tomography angiography (CTA) and virtual colonoscopy (CTC) training courses.

syngo.via is a multimodality advanced visualization solution built on a client-server architecture. It delivers a comprehensive suite of 3D routine and advanced reading applications for radiology, oncology, cardiology, and neurology and drives an integrated workflow from case preparation to reading to sharing. syngo.via along with its mobile applications defines a new standard in image access ranging from workstations to Web-enabled laptop PCs and hand-held devices.

The ACR Education Center is an interactive learning environment with a lineup of next-generation courses on new and evolving technologies, such as advanced visualization that are designed to provide hands-on experience. Individual workplaces emulate a real clinical environment for up to 60 attendees. After completion of the educational program, attendees receive a Certificate of Proficiency.
