Florida radiology collaborative Preferred Radiology Alliance (PRA) has welcomed SDI Diagnostic Imaging of Tampa, Fla, to its network of more than 100 radiologists in the state.
With SDI now as a member, the alliance will grow to six total groups, including: Radiology and Imaging Specialists of Lakeland, Radiology Associates of Daytona Beach, Radiology Associates of Ocala, Bay Radiology Associates of Panama City, and Pensacola Radiology Consultants.
Comprised of 22 board certified radiologists with subspecialty training, SDI Diagnostic Imaging provides radiology services for five local BayCare hospitals: St. Joseph’s Hospital-Main Campus, St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital North, and St. Joseph’s Hospital South.
“We have been considering the benefits that PRA could bring to our practice for the past couple of months and decided that the time was right for us to align with other top tier groups in Florida,” said Kelly Golden, director of finance for SDI. “We believe this model of collaboration with other radiology groups is unique in the industry and allows our radiologists, not a national company, to control our practice.”
Founded in 2013, PRA is owned and operated by radiology groups who work together to create economic efficiencies while providing quality care.
