CIVIE has earned HITRUST e1 Certification, validating that its integrated radiology ecosystem meets recognized cybersecurity and information protection standards for safeguarding patient imaging and clinical data.

CIVIE, a provider of healthcare and radiology operations solutions, announced that the CIVIE platform has earned certified status from HITRUST for cybersecurity and information protection.

The HITRUST e1 Certification verifies that the CIVIE ecosystem, comprised of a radiology information system, picture archiving and communication system, artificial intelligence-powered radiology dictation solution, revenue cycle management, and vendor-neutral archives, has met criteria defined by leading cybersecurity and regulatory frameworks, with strong controls in place to protect sensitive data and manage information risk effectively.

“Achieving HITRUST Certification means the CIVIE system has met the most stringent requirements for protecting patient information and privacy,” says James Moore, CIVIE chief information security officer, in a release. “Our patients deserve to know that their most sensitive data is handled with the utmost care, and this certification is our promise to them.”

Built on the HITRUST Assurance Program, this certification reflects independent third-party testing and centralized quality assurance, supported by HITRUST’s Cyber Threat-Adaptive engine, to help organizations address evolving cyber threats. This approach helps maintain alignment with established standards across the National Institute of Standards and Technology , International Organization for Standardization, and Open Worldwide Application Security Project while strengthening confidence in the platform’s data protection controls.

“HITRUST Certification demonstrates CIVIE’s commitment to managing information risk and protecting sensitive data through a proven and transparent assurance process,” says Gregory Webb, CEO of HITRUST, in a release. “This achievement reflects the organization’s proactive approach to cybersecurity and trust.”
