A study in the American Journal of Roentgenology found that mean glandular dose was higher for contrast-enhanced mammography than for full-field digital mammography (FFDM) or digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) alone but lower than combined FFDM-DBT, supporting its use in screening women at elevated breast cancer risk.
